At Earl of Portraits Photography in San Diego County, each session is a guided, welcoming experience tailored to your story whether you’re booking lifestyle, creative, couples, or family portraits.
You’ll receive timeless, high-quality images you’ll cherish well beyond your camera roll.

A Simple, Memorable Portrait Experience
Step 1: Fill out the contact form or select your session below so we can get started.
Step 2: I’ll send you a personalized quote to review and accept.
Step 3: Once your quote is accepted, you’ll receive a session contract to review and sign.
Step 4: After your contract is signed, I’ll send your invoice. A minimum deposit is required to officially reserve your date.
Step 5: On the day of your session, arrive at the agreed-upon location ready to relax, have fun, and enjoy your shoot. Any remaining balance may be paid at that time, if needed.
Step 6: Within one week of your session, you’ll receive a sneak peek photo along with a preview gallery of your raw images. From there, you’ll select the photos you’d like edited based on the package outlined in your contract.
Step 7: Within three weeks of confirming your selections, you’ll receive an email notification letting you know your edited images are ready to download.
Please note: You’re welcome to pay your full balance at any time before your session date. Any additional details will be included in your contract, so you know exactly what to expect.

FAQ
This is my first photoshoot, what should I know?
Your first professional photoshoot is usually much easier and more relaxed than you expect. You don’t need to know how to pose, your photographer will guide you every step of the way. Wear outfits you feel confident and comfortable in, keeping colors simple and timeless. Arrive a little early so you can settle in, and take care of yourself beforehand so you feel your best. It may feel slightly awkward at first, but that’s completely normal once you relax, the most natural and meaningful moments will come through.
Is there a deposit or retainer required?
Yes, usually the retainer is about 25% -50% of the total session cost.
Can you recommend any good locations?
Absolutely! I love helping clients find the perfect location that fits their vibe. In San Diego, some of my favorites include Balboa Park for its gardens and architecture, Sunset Cliffs for dramatic ocean views, Liberty Station for a modern, textured look, Old Town for historic charm and colorful backdrops, Presidio Park for quiet, intimate greenery, and Little Italy for a stylish urban feel. Tell me the mood you’re going for romantic, bold, soft, or urban and I’ll help pick the spot (or even a hidden gem) that brings your vision to life.
What is your refund policy?
The initial retainer fee due upon singing the contract is NOT refundable. However, if you paid remaining session fees in advance there is a two week minimum notice (per event contract) and a seven day notice (per all other contracts) of cancellation in order to receive full refund.
What are your accepted forms of payment?
Google Pay, Apple Pay, Stripe, and other money transferring systems. Payment plans are available!
How long does it take to get my photos?
Turnaround depends on the session type, but you can generally expect your edited images within 1–3 weeks. All images are delivered digitally in high resolution.
